C. C. Wharram’s areas of interest include translation studies, Romantic and Gothic literature, and the intersections between literature, philsophy, and science in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. His writing has appeared in Germanic Review, Gothic Studies, Nineteenth Century Literature Criticism, the collection Translations of Romantic Texts, and a forthcoming collection on Germaine de Staël. He is currently finishing a book manuscript on the role of translation theory and practice in the Romantic movement.
