John David Moore's areas of teaching and research include children's literature and nineteenth-century British literature. He has received multiple grants from the Illinois Humanities Council. His scholarly writing has appeared in such journals as The Pre-Raphaelite Review, Bulletin of Research in the Humanities, and The Journal of the Midwest MLA. He is also a classically trained pianist.
