Information Technology Services
Information Technology Services provides computing facilities and services for the legitimate instructional, research, and administrative computing needs of the university. Proper use of those facilities and services supports the legitimate computing activities of EIU students, faculty and staff.
Center for Academic Technology Support
The mission of CATS is to provide Eastern Illinois University with comprehensive services in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of technology-enhanced materials in support of courses and programs. CATS also promotes and supports research and development of creative, innovative, and effective uses of established and emerging technologies by the university community.
Booth Library Media Services
Media Services is located in Booth Library on the 1000 level North. Services offered include: media production, photographic services, media equipment, and support to faculty and staff using media in classrooms or at university functions. The Media Services' main office is located in Room 1105. Office hours are from 8:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you have questions about our various services, please call us at 581-6011 or fax to 581-6993.
Instructional Technology Center
The ITC provides technological support and resources for the College of Education & Professional Studies and the university community at large. Although our services are primarily designed for practicing and pre-service educators, they are also beneficial to others. The Instructional Technology Center is located in Buzzard Hall, Room 1430/1440 and we can be reached by calling 581-3823. We invite you to visit our facility to see how our services can benefit you!
College-level Technology Support - Instructional Support Specialists
Instructional Support Specialists (ISS) provide frontline technology support to individual colleges on campus and serve as liasons to Information Technology Services, CATS, Media Services, and various technology-related committees across the university.
