Originally scheduled to appear during the 2013-2014 season, Dr. Barbara J. King is a biological anthropologist and science writer at the College of William and Mary. Her latest book, How Animals Grieve, reflects her keen interest in animal emotion and cognition. King contributes weekly to NPR.org’s 13.7 Cosmos & Culture blog and writes regularly for The Times Literary Supplement. At home in Virginia, she and her husband care for rescued cats.
