HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital

Since 1875, the healthcare needs of the sick and poor have been met by the sisters, medical staff, employees, and volunteers of St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital. The hospital serves the south-central portion of Illinois, primarily the 32,000 residents of Effingham County, whose economy is driven by the transportation, service, and manufacturing industries as well as agriculture.

St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital is a fully accredited not-for-profit acute care health facility. The hospital has 146 licensed beds and a work force of 675 employees. St. Anthony's approach to healthcare combines the compassion and human touch of more than a century of caring with the most modern technologies available today. Service lines include: Inpatient, Outpatient, Home Care and Hospice. The hospital offers medical, surgical, obstetrical, pediatric, and critical care services.

Located at the intersection of Interstate 57 and Interstate 70, Effingham, Illinois has become a hub for America's motoring public. Nicknamed the "Crossroads of Opportunity," Effingham is a great place to enjoy living. It combines the conveniences usually found only in much larger cities with the tranquility of a residential community. Pleasant neighbors, fine stores and shops, two malls, advanced health care facilities, a strong spiritual leadership, a wide range of recreation and relaxation opportunities, and cooperative and concerned local units of government all aid in the surging local economy. Everything adds up to a community where people take advantage of all that life has to offer.
