Passavant Area Hospital is a 168 bed hospital serving the West Central Illinois counties of Morgan, Cass, Greene, Scott and Macoupin. A staff of 600 employees, both full and part time supports Passavant. We are accredited by JCAHO and a member of the Illinois Hospital Association, the American Hospital Association and Voluntary Hospitals of America. In addition to providing emergency and acute hospital care, Passavant is a Level 11 Trauma Center and provides services such as Cardiac Rehabilitation, Oncology Clinic, Sleep Apnea Study Clinic, Rural Health Center, Transitional Care Unit, pacemaker program, Pain Control clinic and wound/ostomy treatment.

Jacksonville
Jacksonville Illinois is rich in history. It was founded in 1825, named for Andrew Jackson. Jacksonville was an early contender for the state capital in 1837. One of Illinois early governor's, Joseph Duncan, made his home here and it is maintained by the local chapter of the DAR. It is the home of Illinois College, MacMurray College, and the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired and the Illinois School for the Deaf. Jacksonville is also the home of Eli Bridge Company, the world's largest manufacturer of Ferris Wheels.

Food Service Management
A variety of experiences are offered in 15 day selective patient menu. Full service cafeteria. In house catering.
Clinical Rotations
A comprehensive experience in all aspects of clinical nutrition is provided through:
  • Inpatient care including critical care, medical/surgical, maternal/child, pediatric.
  • Outpatient care including diet counseling for oncology, renal disease, diabetes, gestational diabetes.
  • Community services including diabetes support, weight management classes, health fairs, supermarket tours and nutrition education for local school systems.
