Hadwiger Multimedia Lab
The Hadwiger Multimedia Laboratory, located in Coleman 1681 & 1691, is a technology resource for students, faculty, and staff in the Department of Communication Studies at Eastern Illinois University. The multimedia lab is named after Professor Emeritus Ken Hadwiger.
The lab checks out HD video and audio production equipment to eligible students such as camcorders, DSLRs, broadcast quality microphones, digital audio recorders, tripods, projectors, and more.
Most of our cameras and audio recorders require a class 6 or higher SDHC or SDXC card to record media. You will need to provide your own card. The lab will not provide you one. Will you will also need to provide your own AA and 9V batteries.
We have MacBook Pro laptops featuring the Adobe CS6 Master Suite for video, audio, photos, web design, publishing and more. Computers are for in-lab use only.
Students can print in the lab for $0.07/page black and white and $0.20/page color. Students must have their Panther Card loaded with Panther Cash to print.
The Hadwiger Lab also has a plotter for large projects like posters. This printer is available only to Communication Studies faculty and staff, and students working on approved class projects. See a lab assistant for details.
