A Passionate Writer with a Keen Sense of Style

Rachel Petrucci is not your typical overly social communication studies major. She is intellectually inquisitive and has a calm and collective vibe. Because of her passion for writing, Rachel originally declared as a journalism major. After taking a few courses and researching career options, she changed her major to public relations with a minor in advertising. Rachel enjoys her communication classes and is confident that she will be able to capitalize on her writing skills while pursuing a career in public relations.

Affordable tuition rates and a short distance from home drew Rachel to Eastern Illinois University. Being away from home allowed her to step outside her comfort zone, become more independent, and expand her communication skills.

Rachel prefers to embrace living in the moment rather than what lies ahead. In her free time, she likes to read novels and go for a run.

Rachel is open to different career opportunities and would love to work in a big city. Ideally, Rachel would like to work as a public relations specialist in the fashion industry. With her keen sense of style, she would love to write for fashion magazines or pursue a career in a public relations agency. To prepare for her career, she is currently seeking an internship with a fashion magazine.

Rachel hopes to accomplish her goals and to live her life with no regrets. Living in the moment and taking life as it comes, she has a plan of her own.
