Graduate students to present papers at national conference

Two Eastern Illinois University graduate students have been selected to present papers at a national communication conference in May.  Brendan Hughes and Kate Klipp will present papers at the Rhetoric Society of America's 2012 national conference in Philadelphia in May. 

Hughes is from Charleston and is currently a graduate student in the Department of Communication Studies.  His paper is entitled "Ideographs in Cartoons: Drawing Conflict for Western Consumption."  

Klipp is also from Charleston and is a recent graduate of the Comm Studies graduate program.  Her paper is entitled "Constitutive Walls: Constructing Identities in Opposition to the US/Mexico Border Fence."

The conference theme is "Re/Framing Identifications."  It will be held May 25th through 28th in Philadelphia.
