Communication Studies to hold annual Multimedia Contest

Contest Entry Form

The EIU Communication Studies Department will conduct its annual Multimedia Contest in late April.  The contest is held each year to recognize the top student projects from the past academic year.

The contest is open to Communication Studies majors or minors and there is no charge to enter.  This year's contest has five categories:

  • Video: Spot (Commercial/PSA)
  • Video: News
  • Video: Documentary
  • Video: Creative
  • Radio: Spot (Commercial/PSA)

There are cash prizes for the top entries in each category.

Entries must be submitted to Carrie Wilson-Brown by Wednesday, April 20th at 5:00 p.m.  Students may enter more than one category, but need to fill out a separate contest entry form for each entry.  Radio entries should be on a CD, while video entries should be on a DVD.  Work that was completed as part of the student's duties at WEIU-TV or FM is eligible for the contest.

The top entries will be presented at an awards screening on Thursday, April 28th at 6:00 p.m. in Lumpkin Hall 2030.  For more information, contact Carrie Wilson-Brown at 581-6314 or cawilsonbrown@eiu.edu.
