EIU Students honored at 2012 Silver Dome Awards

Broadcasting students from Eastern Illinois University took home several awards at this year's Student Silver Dome Awards, sponsored by the Illinois Broadcasters Association.

The following students were honored for their work:

  • 1st Place for Best Television News Package:  Pablo Rodriguez
  • 2nd Place for Best TV Newscast:  WEIU-TV News Watch
  • 3rd Place for Best Television Sports Package:  Pablo Rodriguez
  • 3rd Place for Best Radio Commercial:  Korey Adkins
  • 3rd Place for Best Radio Public Service Announcement:  Korey Adkins

The students received their awards at the annual IBA-U Student Broadcasting Conference held in Normal, Illinois on September 21st.
