Dr. Matt Gill wins distinguished faculty award

A member of Eastern Illinois University's Communication Studies faculty has received a distinguished faculty award presented by the student body.

Dr. Matt Gill is a recipient of the 2012 E. I. U.  Students' Distinguished Faculty Award for Distinguished Academic Excellence.  Dr. Gill was among a group of 8 award recipients.  Three awards were given for Distinguished Academic Excellence, two faculty members were honored for Distinguished Academic Support, and three faculty members received awards for Distinguished Service.

The award is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon E.I.U. faculty by the student body.  Dr. Gill was nominated by Communication Studies major Leslie Winslow.
