EIU Spring 2013 Commencement Checklist
- Apply to graduate by March 20, 2013
Apple for graduation through PAWS: http://www.eiu.edu/paws Questions? Call the Office of the Registrar at 217-581-3511 or your college dean. Please note: If you have not applied to graduate or "walk through" by March 20, your name WILL NOT be in the program
- Order your cap and gown by March 31
To order your cap and gown, visit the Herff Jones site (https://collegegrad.herffjones.com/) and be sure to choose "Eastern Illinois University" as your school. Late charge - $20 after March 31.

- Are you a graduate with special needs?
If so, please contact the Alumni Services staff at 217-581-6892 to make arrangements in advance of the ceremonies.
- Pick up your tickets May 1-3
Space is limited at Lantz Arena, so graduates are allotted a specific number of tickets for family and friends. Ticket distribution will be May 1-3 from 9 am to 5 pm in the Arcola-Tuscola Room, MLK University Union.
- Pick up your cap and gown May 1-3
Cap and gown distribution will be will be May 1-3 in the Charleston-Mattoon Room of the MLK University Union from 9 am to 5 pm. For those graduates who are not taking classes on campus and/or cannot be on campus for cap and gown distribution, your cap and gown can be picked up in the Fieldhouse of Lantz Arena on Commencement Day.
- On Commencement Day (Saturday, May 4)
Arrive at the Lantz Fieldhouse at least one hour before your ceremony begins. Graduates, both undergraduate and graduate students, will walk with the colleges from which they are receiving their degrees.
- Ceremony Times
9 am: College of Sciences
12 pm: College of Arts & Humanities, School of Continuing Education
3 pm: College of Education & Professional Studies
6 pm: Lumpkin College of Business & Applied Sciences
