EIU Spring 2016 Commencement Checklist
- Order your cap and gown by April 2, 2016
To order your cap and gown, go to www.eiu.edu/commence. Click on "Before Commencement" on the left, then click on "Cap and Gown Rental". Be sure to choose "Eastern Illinois University" as your school. Late charge - $20 after April 2. Do not order cap and gown if you have not applied to graduate (PAWS) or to participate by Exception (Deadline: March 23).

- Are you a graduate with special needs?
If so, please contact the Alumni Services staff at 217-581-6616 to make arrangements in advance of the ceremonies.
- Pick up your tickets May 4-6
Space is limited at Lantz Arena, so graduates are allotted a specific number of tickets. Ticket distribution will be May 4-6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Arcola-Tuscola Room, MLK University Union. For those graduates who are not taking classes on campus and/or cannot be on campus for ticket distribution please email a ticket request, including your name, e-number and major, to Alisa Wohltman at firstname.lastname@example.org. The tickets will then be held for pick up on Commencement Day. The number of tickets available to each graduate will be determined after the graduation application deadline of March 23, 2016. The ticket amounts will be posted on the web page as soon as possible after the deadline, so please check the commencement website often.
- Pick up your cap and gown May 4-6
Cap and gown distribution will be will be May 4-6 in the Charleston-Mattoon Room of the MLK University Union from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For those graduates who are not taking classes on campus and/or cannot be on campus for cap and gown distribution, your cap and gown can be picked up in the Fieldhouse of Lantz Arena on Commencement Day.
- On Commencement Day (Saturday, May 7)
Arrive at the Lantz Fieldhouse at least one hour before your ceremony begins. Graduates, both undergraduate and graduate students, will walk with the colleges from which they are receiving their degrees.

12 p.m. - College of Arts and Humanities and The Graduate School
School of Continuing Education/BA in General Studies
3 p.m. - College of Education & Professional Studies and The Graduate School
6 p.m. - Lumpkin College of Business & Applied Sciences and The Graduate School
