Educational Internship
The graduate program requires a 14-week practicum — five days per week — in an educational setting. More than 100 clock hours of therapy experience is obtained during the educational experience. All interns are supervised by an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist. Seminars are held during the semester for interns by the educational internship coordinator.
A maximum of three semester hours may be applied to the degree. Prerequisites: acceptance by the internship site; completion of all CDS graduate coursework except CDS 5970 and CDS 5890 and a grade of B or better in at least six semester hours of CDS 5900, 5910, 5920 or permission of the department chairperson.
