Ellen lives in Charleston. She has been employed at EIU for over 25 years, the last 13 in the Student Teaching department. Her main duties are mostly computer-related, from maintaining student-teacher databases to processing tuition waivers for cooperating teachers and administrators, and from updating clinical experience agreements to processing budget forms. Her hobbies include singing in a church choir, playing the piano, and reading.
