Welcome to the Summer College for Teachers at Eastern Illinois University!

Introducing an Eastern Illinois University initiative designed in response to requests from area teachers for courses in their content area or for courses that will enhance their teaching skills. Eastern has a long tradition of preparing teachers and offering advanced study to practicing teachers.

Since 1951 Eastern has been committed to advancing the professional and personal lives of our students by providing
graduate degree programs and graduate courses to support rigorous study and professional development. Graduate study at Eastern Illinois University offers students a favorable faculty to student ratio in our 25 master’s and specialist’s programs and four certificate programs. Currently over 1700 part time and full time graduate students are enrolled and more than 300 faculty hold graduate faculty status.
