FACULTY DEVELOPMENT SPRING 2013 SUPPORT GRANTSApplications for Faculty Development Support Grants are now available. Faculty Development Support Grants are awarded to individual faculty members for the improvement of instructional activity or course content, and are subject to the dollar maximums indicated. More information is available here.
Applicants must secure approval by submitting application forms before the review deadline. Unit A and Unit B faculty are both eligible to apply for support grants. The deadline for Spring 2013 Support Grant applications is 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013. To apply, please go here. REDDEN GRANT APPLICATIONS NOW BE ACCEPTED
The EIU Foundation is making funds available for instructional development grants from the Redden Fund for the Improvement of Undergraduate Instruction. Awards are limited to a maximum of $1,500. Applications are available online here (EIU Foundation website). Applicants may click the link “Redden Grants” under the “News and Information” section of the menu on the left side of the Foundation homepage to print an application. A hard copy of the completed application must be submitted to department chairs by April 10, 2013. If you have questions or concerns, please contact April Marchuk at 581-7380 or at amarchuk@eiu.edu.

SPRING ADVISER COFFEE: 1 TO 3 P.M. FEB. 6
All new and continuing advisers are invited to attend the Spring 2013 Adviser Coffee from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, in the Charleston/Mattoon Room, MLK Jr. Union. This is an informal information-sharing format intended to promote excellence in advising across campus. Others interested in academic advising are also welcome and encouraged to participate. Please feel free to bring materials to distribute and/or share new information from your department. Blair Lord, provost and vice president for academic affairs, will present the opening remarks. There will be presentations on the new SAP procedures, Study Abroad and the online advising form.
