FINANCIAL MANAGER -- FIXED ASSETS AND INVENTORY
The state of Illinois requires a yearly inventory of equipment items, and it is important for financial managers to help in the process of protecting university resources. If you are a new financial manager, fixed asset custodian, equipment manager or proxy or, perhaps, you are experienced but would like a refresher, please join us from 9 to 10 a.m. on March 5 or 6 in the eClassroom, Booth Library, Room 4450. Computers will be available if you would like hands-on experience with the online inventory process. You will also learn the basics of equipment purchases and what items to monitor.

LET'S TALK TEACHING: 'CRITICAL THINKING AND WRITING ASSIGNMENTS' POSTPONED
The Let's Talk Teaching session "Critical Thinking and Writing Assignments" has been postponed to noon Friday, March 1, in the Arcola-Tuscola Room, MLK Jr. Union.

Writing assignments are excellent vehicles for promoting critical thinking and helping students grow as thinkers and writers. Strong writing assignments require students to use the writing process in order to plan and organize their thoughts and know their topics thoroughly. In this interactive session, the speaker and participants will discuss how to create and plan writing assignments that meet the needs of students, the discipline and subject matter.

Participants should bring their own lunch. Beverages will be provided. Please register (if you haven't already registered) here.
