EIU Intramural Sports - Registration Disclaimer

Online Captain Meetings (Rules Meetings)

* All online captain meetings are available to review anytime, and can must be completed before entering a team. Captain's meetings/rules open when the sport opens (7:00am) until the following Wednesday evening (11:55pm) after the specific sport closes.  See sports and entry dates at IMLeagues.com/eiu    
* All captains are responsible for all policies and sport rules regardless of meeting/rules completion (See Intramural Sports Handbook). 
* TEAM NAMES: The I-M Director reserves the right to change any team name that is offensive or inappropriate. 
* RESULTS: All game schedules and results are posted on the EIU official website IMLeagues.com/eiu and the IMLeagues mobile site - IMLeagues App.  

Minimum Number of Participants Per Sport:

Team entries may be accepted online with less than the minimum number of individuals for each sport; however, entering a team without the minimum number of players obligates the manager and team to the league and are subject to all the Intramural Sports policies. Each team has until the first game to add minimum players necessary and two weeks (half the season) to add the necessary players before rosters are "frozen".

Forfeits/Defaults: Default Form (link)

FORFEIT: A game will be declared a forfeit if a team is unable to field the minimum number of players, less one, to play a game by exactly five or ten minutes after (depending on the sport) the scheduled playing time. The team manager will be assessed a forfeit fee of $10.00 for each game that is forfeited. A team is automatically withdrawn from the league after two forfeits. DEFAULT: The intramural staff understands that teams occasionally and due to unforeseen circumstances may be unable to field a team. For this reason, team managers may avoid a forfeit fee by defaulting the game. To default a game, the team manager must complete an official default form located at the "Default Form" link above or at the Intramural Sports counter in the Campus Recreation Office no later than 3:00 P.M. the afternoon of the contest to be defaulted. For Saturday sports/events, a default must be completed the Friday before at 3:00 P.M.  A loss will be given for the game defaulted, however, no fees will be assessed (Other sport rules and I-M Handbook available on this website).

Waiver Statement:

By entering a team though this registration/scheduler, you are agreeing to the waiver statement and process of EIU Intramural Sports. The following statement will be on every individual entry when entering through IMLeagues.com/eiu: "My printed name (and initials) on this score sheet indicates that I understand that there are physical injury risks inherent in any sport activity and that I may suffer minor or even serious injury by participating in this sport activity. Also, I have my own medical insurance coverage if not covered by University insurance and I attest that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate in this activity.
