The Education Scholars program is sponsoring a Teacher Education Volunteer Fair and information session on Wednesday, Feb. 20, beginning at 6 p.m. in Buzzard Hall Auditorium. Representatives from numerous organizations serving area youth will be present to share information about their organization and how to get involved.

In addition, Rachel Fisher from the Office of Student Community Service will share information about volunteering in general and other possible organizations working with area youth that are seeking volunteers.

Organizations that will be present include: Ashmore Mentoring Program, Bright Minds, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Camp New Hope, Douglas Hart Nature Center, Girls on the Run, Special Olympics, and Teen Reach. If you have been looking for a way to get involved working with kids but didn’t know where to start or if you are looking to increase your volunteer service, this event is for you!
