'America's Music': Closing Concert

'America's Music: A Film History of Our Popular Music from Blues to Bluegrass to Broadway' will be presented on the EIU campus from Jan. 11-April 6. The series looks at six musical genres that are uniquely American: blues and gospel, jazz and swing, Broadway, country and bluegrass, rock 'n' roll, and mambo and hip hop.

The program will end with a closing concert on April 6. Music and dance performances will include Reverend Robert, Unity Gospel Choir, Marilyn Coles, Motherlode, Mark Rubel and Friends EIU Jazz Ensemble, Pink Panthers, EIU Dancers, winners of the EIU Minority Affairs Step Show, and other regional artists.
