Film Screening and Discussion: 'The History of Rock 'n' Roll'
'America's Music: A Film History of Our Popular Music from Blues to Bluegrass to Broadway' will be presented on the EIU campus from Jan. 11-April 6. The series looks at six musical genres that are uniquely American: blues and gospel, jazz and swing, Broadway, country and bluegrass, rock 'n' roll, and mambo and hip hop.
On Feb. 26, Mark Rubel will introduce and lead disucssion on the film 'The History of Rock 'n' Roll: Episode 4, Plugging In.' For a complete schedule of 'America's Music' activities, visit www.library.eiu.edu.
