Film Screening and Discussion: 'High Lonesome: The Story of Bluegrass Music'
'America's Music: A Film History of Our Popular Music from Blues to Bluegrass to Broadway' will be presented on the EIU campus from Jan. 11-April 6. The series looks at six musical genres that are uniquely American: blues and gospel, jazz and swing, Broadway, country and bluegrass, rock 'n' roll, and mambo and hip hop.
On Feb. 12, Dr. Patty Poulter will introduce and lead disucssion on the film 'High Lonesome: The Story of Bluegrass Music.' For a complete schedule of 'America's Music' activities, visit www.library.eiu.edu.
