'Documenting Intangible Culture: Songcatcher'

'America's Music: A Film History of Our Popular Music from Blues to Bluegrass to Broadway' will be presented on the EIU campus from Jan. 11-April 6. The series looks at six musical genres that are uniquely American: blues and gospel, jazz and swing, Broadway, country and bluegrass, rock 'n' roll, and mambo and hip hop.

On Jan. 22, Dr. Debra Reid and her students will present 'Documenting Intangible Culture: Songcatcher' at 4 p.m. in Witters Conference Room 4440, Booth Library. For a complete schedule of 'America's Music' activities, visit www.library.eiu.edu.
