CATS Training Services is offering D2L Communication Tools Advanced on Tuesday, Jan. 22, from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m.
This session focuses on the multiple ways you and communicate and teach students in the D2L Learning Environment. Topics covered include:

Quick Links provides students access to information outside of the D2L environment.
YouTube Videos
YouTube videos can be directly uploaded into courses for students to watch.
Replace Strings
Replace Strings are strings of discussion within the D2L platform.
Nav Bar
Nav Bar are easily customizable for each course allowing students to navigate through material easily.
A fully-featured Email tool is included in Learning Environment. Configure it for send-only messaging, for internal messaging only, for sending/receiving both internally and externally, or for integrating with an existing IMAP system. The Email tool automatically associates messages and contacts with course offerings, and facilitates continuous communication with the rest of the experience.
News
A fully-featured News tool is included in Learning Environment. Configure it for up to date information, course happenings, or customize it to your needs.
Checklists
A fully-featured Checklist tool is included in Learning Environment. Configure it for up to sequential work information, course requirements, or customize it to your needs.
