Disability Awareness Day is a conference brought to you by Eastern Illinois University, E.I.A.S.E. and Lake Land College. The focus for this year’s conference is 'Transitions,' and is for parents, teachers, special education instructors, counselors, future teachers and anyone else interested in learning more about and discussing challenges associated with students transitioning into college or simply into the real world.

Keynote: Sandy Martin is a pre-vocational coordinator, the co-chair of the Illinois STEP Advisory Committee and an active member of local and regional transition planning committees. She brings with her a broad range of experience, a genuine understanding of the issues involving transition on many levels, and a desire to support and empower individuals with disabilities.
