Welcome from the Chair
I welcome you to the School of Business at Eastern Illinois University. We are an AACSB-accredited School of Business that also possesses separate AACSB accreditation in Accounting. Our graduates get jobs in outstanding companies like ADM, Caterpillar, State Farm Insurance, Cargill, Raytheon, Metavante, Hewitt, KPMG, Target, Drury Hotels, Systems Resources, IBM and Motorola.
Our students are immersed in an integrated learning environment that provides for academic and professional growth. Students are encouraged to participate in one or more of our 14 student-led professional organizations. We offer an “Executive-in-Residence” program, where executives share their expertise and knowledge with our students. We offer study abroad programs, supplemental instruction, tutoring, internships, and independent study classes where students can develop and enhance their business skills. Students can also extend and supplement their classroom learning by taking advantage of opportunities offered by the Entrepreneurship Center, the Securities Analysis Center, and the Student Center for Academic and Professional Development.
