Grünhagen named "Associate Editor of the Year"


Dr. Marko Grünhagen, Lumpkin Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship in the School of Business, received the 2013 “Associate Editor of the Year” Award from the Journal of Small Business Management (JSBM). Dr. Grünhagen has served on JSBM’s Editorial Board for the last 10 years with responsibility for manuscript submissions in the areas of small business marketing and franchising.

The award is based on accomplishments related to the editorial responsibilities of managing manuscript submissions and the related review process, as well as contributions to editorial policy decisions. The Journal of Small Business Management is the oldest leading journal in entrepreneurship and small business management globally.

Dr. Michael Dobbs Honored with Best Paper Award

The School of Business is proud to announce that Dr. Michael Dobbs, Assistant Professor of Management, was honored with the Best Paper Award at the 23rd Annual Conference of the American Society for Competitiveness in Washington, D.C. on October 26, 2012.  Dr. Dobbs' paper, “Porter’s Five Forces in Practice: Templates for Firm and Case Analysis,” describes the tools Dr. Dobbs developed for practitioners and students to utilize Michael Porter’s "Five Forces" industry analysis framework.  The paper was selected as the top paper out of the more than 100 submitted for presentation at the conference.  Congratulations to Dr. Dobbs!
