The Budget Metrics web page includes data regarding higher education funding, student financial aid, Eastern’s cost of attendance, facilities, budget, faculty and students. 3. EIU Average Student Loans as a Percentage of EIU Average Cost of Education

Average Student Loans: subsidized and unsubsidized loans divided by unduplicated count for students taking out loans. Total Annual Cost of Education for a new in-state undergraduate for the corresponding academic year is calculated by adding Tuition, Fees, Housing and Miscellaneous Costs. 8. EIU Facility Condition Index (FCI) - Deferred Maintenance

According to the Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers (APPA), an FCI of 5% or less is the ideal target for higher education facilities. An FCI greater than or equal to 15% is considered serious and indicative of a campus in poor condition.
