Susan J. Hurt, M.A.G., Owner, Boomer Wellness
Susan J. Hurt is the owner of Boomer Wellness, an organization devoted to helping older adults remain healthy and independent. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, with a specialty in health promotion, from Southern Connecticut State University. After having worked with older adults for over two decades, Susan obtained a Master’s Degree in Gerontology from the University of Southern California.
She has skillfully designed health promotion programs that empower older adults to age gracefully and lead productive, healthy lives. The programs have been presented to research participants at Yale University, as well as residents at the Elim Park Baptist Home.
Susan has also been a guest speaker on the positive radio show “The Art of Living Well,” and co-presented a program on driving safety at the American Society on Aging’s Annual Conference in San Francisco, California.
Professional memberships include the Gerontological Society of America, the American Society on Aging, and the Connecticut Public Health Association.
Susan shares health promotion information on her own blog, and served as a guest writer on the American Society on Aging's blog.
