College of Arts & Humanities Curriculum Committee Minutes
Wednesday, February 21, 2007 – Schahrer Room

Chair Johnson called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m.

Members present:  Robert Petersen, ART, Stephen Swords, ENG, Terri Johnson, JOU, Jerry Daniels, MUS, Jonelle DePetro, PHI, Gail Mason, CMN, Jean Wolski, THA, Associate Dean Jeffrey Lynch, (ex-officio)

Guests:  Linda Coleman, Fern Kory, and Randall Beebe

I. Minutes
The minutes of 2-7-07 and 2-8-07 were approved as written.

II. Proposals
07-10 New course proposal: ENG 3406 Literature for Pre-Adolescents
Fern Kory presented the proposal and addressed questions from the committee.  Jerry Daniels moved and Jean Wolski seconded the motion to approve the proposal.  Motion passed unanimously (7-0)

III. Executive Action
The following items were approved:

Change in course title for ENG 4775

Change in course title and description for ENG 4950

IV. Nomination of student representative from Humanities
Due to a class conflict, Ashley Rueff will no longer be able to serve as student representative for the Humanities.  Committee member Carlos Amaya submitted an eligible student but she has a conflict and cannot attend meetings.  Committee members were again asked to submit names of eligible students as soon as possible to Chair Johnson.

The meeting adjourned at 3:21 p.m.
