College of Arts & Humanities Curriculum Committee Minutes
Wednesday, February, 2008 - Paris Room

Members present:  Gene Harrison, ART, Tim Coombs, CMN, Stephen Swords, ENG, Vanesa Landrus, FLG, Jon Coit, HIS, Eunseong Kim, JOU, Jonelle Depetro, PHI, Jean Wolski, THA, Associate Dean Jeffrey Lynch, ex-officio.

Guests:  John Martone, Dana Ringuette, Linda Coleman, Robert Petersen.

Chair Wolski called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.

Minutes
The minutes of 1/28/08 were approved as written.

Proposals
08.01 New Course Proposal ENG 3907 Asian Literatures
Dana Ringuette, John Martone and Linda Coleman addressed questions from the committee.  Jon Coit moved and Stephen Swords seconded the motion to approve the proposal.  Motion passed unanimously (8-0)

Executive Actions approved
1.  Revised course descriptions for ENG 3401, 3402, 4801 
2.  Additional course choices for the Asian Studies Minor

Pending Item

Nomination of Student representatives
Jean Wolski announced that Kayla Blue has agreed to represent the Fine Arts area.  Members will submit names of students from the Humanities area.
