This is our website about the Shoshone.  We have been studying the Shoshone and how they became a part of the Lewis and Clark Expedition.  We took a field trip to St. Louis.  We saw the Arch, and the Museum of Westward Expansion.  We also saw the IMax movie about Lewis and Clark.  After that we took a trip to Cahokia Mounds, to learn about the mound builders.  We learned a lot about Lewis and Clark.  We really liked learning about the Lewis and Clark Expedition, because it's interesting.

Our mission for this adventure was to find out about the Shoshone.  Third graders and EIU students alike had to research for months about the expedition and the Shoshone.  For the EIU students, Steven Ambrose's Undaunted Courage was a definite necessity.  For the third graders, there were many days spent searching the Internet and the libraries for more about the Shoshone people.
Everyone put in a lot of work, but we still managed to have fun too!  Just look at our fieldtrip page and our Kid Pix drawings for the timeline!!
