| Dual admission.... |
Dual admission to Eastern Illinois University is available to students
planning to complete an Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science
(A.S.), Associate in Science and Arts (A.S.A.), Associate in General
Studies (A.G.S.), or an Associate in Fine Arts (A.F.A.) from a participating
community college and a baccalaureate degree from EIU. The Dual Admission
Program (DAP) facilitates the transfer of students from the community
college to EIU. Students who fulfill the requirements of the DAP agreement
are guaranteed acceptance to the University with full junior status.
However, students must meet departmental requirements for acceptance
into specific majors. Also, students who transfer with associate degrees
that do not fulfill the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) General
Education core curriculum requirements may have to attend additional
semesters to complete their baccalaureate degree.
