Students Dismissed for Low Scholarship

Students, who have been dismissed for low scholarship, may not re-enter during a summer term.  Undergraduate students, who have been dismissed one time, for low scholarship:

  • must remain out of the University for at least one regular semester.
  • will be automatically eligible for reinstatement and may re-enter Eastern at the beginning of a fall or spring semester provding all criteria for readmission has been met. Deadlines for readmission must be met.
  • are reinstated on Academic Probation and re-enter with the same cumulative grade point average he/she had when dismissed.
  • continue on Academic Probation as long as the conditions stated in the "Academic Probation" section of the University catalog are met.

NOTE: Students who do not make satisfactory progress are dismissed again and must petition to the Academic Reinstatement Committee.
