the retrocomputing pages

congratulations (i guess) -- you've discovered my all-new pages on old computers. (keeping in mind, of course, that even if don't update these pages over the next two or three years, they'll still say "all new".) what you have before you is the written document of a hobby, or obsession, or perhaps mental illness, that i took up (or caught) back in early 1997. at first it was just old 8088 and 286 pc's that grabbed me, destroying friendships and shooting my sleep schedule to hell all spring long. and then in may of 97 i got a beat up old mac plus, and a couple of mac 512K's, and it started all over again. my apartment took on an inch-thick coat of dust, i forgot to eat, and drink, and sleep, and have a life, i even almost peed my pants a few times because i just couldn't stop tinkering with these old computers.

so don't say i didn't warn you. this stuff can suck up your life like heroin. (i'm still undecided about setting up an adultcheck front page; but i am working on a scary picture of your brain on retrocomputing, for the young ones.) still interested? then proceed to....
