A goal of Prowl is to provide standards and expectations for interaction in the EIU, Charleston, and general societal communities. Civic & Citizenship-focused events enable students to participate in events that will aid them in becoming responsible citizens in a diverse world.
A goal of Prowl is to provide myriad opportunities for student/faculty/staff interactions. Academic-focused events enable students and faculty to interact outside of the classroom. Events will also provide opportunities for academic units to provide college- & department-specific orientations and set academic standards and expectations.
A goal of Prowl is to educate students on the importance of personal wellness and its impact on academic performance. Wellness-focused events enable students to learn how to maintain their health both, physical and mental, and its impact on academic performance. Personal safety awareness programming will also be provided.
A goal of Prowl is to educate students on EIU Traditions and to provide a framework for the campus culture and an appreciation for other cultures. Traditions & Culture(s)-focused events enable students to participate in traditional EIU events and to learn about EIU history and campus culture. Events will also focus on the role of diversity in the EIU and global community.
A goal of Prowl is to provide opportunities for students to develop social networks. Social Connection events provide students structured ways to become involved in co-curricular activities on campus. Events will allow for students to develop personal relationships with others as well as introducing students to campus organizations and activities.
