 Joseph Martin, Director
Joseph Martin has been the Director of Eastern Music Camp since 1977. He is also the professor of oboe and Assistant Chair to the Department of Music at Eastern Illinois University.
He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from East Carolina University and has extensive experience in orchestral and solo performances. His experience includes commercial and popular music as well as classical orchestral and chamber repertoire. He has offered master classes, seminars in reed making, and small ensemble coaching throughout the state. He has been a frequent adjudicator and is a highly regarded double reed pedagogue and finds teaching beginning oboists the fundamentals of playing very rewarding.
Rhonda Heath, Assistant Director
 Rhonda Heath, a Charleston native, has been the Assistant Director of Eastern Music Camp for the past 5 years as well as Head Dean of the camps for the past 4 years. She has been involved administratively with all aspects of EMC and the Department of Music since 1988 where she currently holds the position of Administrative Aide.
She received her Bachelor's degree in Management and her Master's degree in Business Administration from Eastern Illinois University. She is the mother of three daughters who have also all graduated from Eastern Illinois University.
 Vy Herman, Office Specialist
Vy Herman has been working with Eastern Music Camp and the Department of Music since 1993 where she currently holds the position of Office Systems Specialist I.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and is currently working on her Masters degree in English both at Eastern Illinois University. She is the mother two sons, who have acquired degrees in engineering and political science and one daughter who is currently working on her nursing degree.
