There are several facilities within Carman Hall which students may utilize. The Carman Hall complex consists of an all-female tower (north), an all-male tower (South) and is also the home of the East Side Panther Dining Center located just off the main lobby. Carman is equipped with two elevators in each tower that provide service to all floors within Carman.Each floor within Carman contains sixteen double occupancy rooms, four deluxe triples, a common-area bathroom, and a floor lounge. Each floor lounge is equipped with tables, chairs and sofas for socializing and/or studying. Additionally, each lounge contains a kitchenette so you might want to brush up on your cooking skill before doing it in public. The main laundry facility is located in the basement. The top three floors of each tower are also equipped with smaller community laundry facilities. Several staff members are employed in Carman Hall to ensure the smooth operation of this building. There are seventeen Resident Assistants within the buildings with one RA living on each of the floors. The professional staff includes a full-time Complex Director, and three Associate Resident Directors who are responsible for the management of Carman. There is a full-time secretary in the Complex who works 8:00-4:30 Monday through Friday.The Carman front desk operates from 9:00 a.m. - midnight , Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. - midnight Saturday, and 12:00 noon-midnight, on Sunday. Night Assistant staff assist the University Police Department during the late night hours in the building. The Night Assistants are an added resource to ensure that the building is running smoothly. Carman Hall has the opportunity to have a student governing body that provides programs and activities within the hall. A full executive board facilitates this body and assists with the overall operation of meetings, programs, and activities.
