Eastern Illinois University is excited to host the 2008 Girls IHSA State Badminton Championship on May 8th, 9th and 10th!

Eastern Illinois University and the city of Charleston are busy gearing up for the inaugural year of IHSA Badminton competition at May 8-10, 2008, at Eastern Illinois University. Now is the time to make reservations, for this event. Preferred method of payment is cash or check, no credit cards please.

The following are the available accommodations at EIU for May 8-10, 2008:

*Stevenson Hall is for spectators and officials
*Lincoln Hall is for players and coaches.

Breakfast can be purchased in the Stevenson Dining Center. Lunch and Dinner will not be provided.
Check-out is one hour after the conclusion of the finals on Saturday, May 10, 2008.

Driving Directions
Eastern Illinois University can be accessed through exit 190A on Interstate 57. From I-57, follow route 16 east approximately seven miles. Route 16 will become Lincoln Avenue when you reach the Charleston city limits.

If you are checking in at Lincoln or Stevenson Hall from Lincoln Avenue, turn south on 4th Street go to the first stop sign and turn right onto Grant St. Stevenson Hall is the high rise building to your immediate left.

Parking is available in all surrounding lots, and no permit is required. Stevenson Hall parking lot is reserved for participants, news media, officials and spectators the Thursday prior to the beginning of the games for participants. Any questions about parking, can be answered at (217) 581-5551.
