
Exhibit: Class 2005-2006
The HA class of '05-'06 is planning, designing and will install an exhibit entitled "The Art and Culture of Ancient Mound Builders". It will be unveiled in April of 2006 at the Tarble Arts Center on EIU's campus.
Exhibition Dates: April 22nd - June 15th 2006
Exhibit Committees: Curator: Emily Bradbury, Lynn Ege Provides specialist information on the subject matter and undertakes any research necessary. Above all, is enthusiastic about his/her subject, and understanding of the designer's role. Designer: Christine Saniat, Jamie Wilms Contributes to the brief and undertakes any preliminary programming and/or feasibility study. Produces/supervises the production of working drawings, specifications, tender documents and develops construction budget. Runs the design review meetings. Supervises production and installation. Educator: Tamara Arntzen, Jessica Waite Contributes special knowledge on educational aspects of both the subject and the exhibition to the brief. Plans for the educational use of the exhibition and devises associated teaching materials. Suggests and researches collections possibilities and works with collections personnel and Designer to locate, protect and install collections or objects on loan. Writes label copy. Photographer/ Web Designer: Mike Vogt, Jamie Wilms Photographs or scans all two dimensional graphics for inclusion in the exhibit. Uses digital camera primarily for artifact record keeping and FPO in design drawings. Works with graphic designer to produce camera-ready artwork. Keeps a photographic record of the exhibit development process as well as shots of the exhibit after the installation. Puts images on the HA homepage as exhibit progress is made. Works with Designer to design the page layout. Registrar: Laura Daugherty, Brenda Kropen Keeps track of the exhibit artifact list and fills out information on object data sheets. Makes arrangements for loans and keeps files of all paperwork. Manages artifact location and condition reports. Photographs or works with photographer to record artifacts on exhibit. Sets up schedule for traveling exhibits and sometimes accompanies the exhibit. Coordinates the installation of objects in the exhibit. |
