Schedule for Fall Sorority Recruitment:
September 9: Sorority Preview Day (THIS EVENT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS!)
The Panhellenic Recruitment Team, along with the Panhellenic sorority community, will be hosting Sorority Preview Day which will allow Potential New Members to visit each chapter house to learn more about the chapter and to view their chapter house prior to the start of sorority recruitment. Chapters will be discussing a variety of topics, along with showing their hard work on their recruitment video. During this orientation, you will hopefully get all your questions answered concerning the recruitment process! The Panhellenic Recruitment Orientation is MANDATORY to attend.
Open House Schedule:
After Sunday, September 10, 2023, till the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, it will be up to you to decide which Open Houses you would like to attend. You will also potentially receive invitations from chapters to attend Open Houses as well.
Sept. 16: PNM's Select and Rank from 3:30 pm till 4:30 pm in Greek Court (Building 8) (THIS IS MANDATORY FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS!)
Sept. 16: Preference Round (9:45 pm till 12:30 pm)
The final round of sorority recruitment will focus on the chapters and their open recruitment ceremonies. Members of the chapters will share sisterhood stories, read chapter passages, and spend 1:1 time with Potential New Members to help them select theirs forever home. During this round, the Potential New Member should pay attention to the stories that are being shared, the passages being read, and their fit into the chapter.
September 17: Bid Day (Bid Day will begin at 2:00 pm)
Bid Day is the final event of sorority recruitment and the day you will receive a bid to join an individual sorority. You will discover what chapter your recruitment counselor is a member of, join in an All-Panhellenic Celebration, and attend a Bid Day celebration with your new chapter!
Estimated Costs
Each chapter's semester dues vary. Dues range from $400 - $1,000 per semester. The cost to live in the chapter house is established by the University. It is the same price as the residence halls. While you visit the chapters during Sorority Preview Day or any other Open House, it may be a good idea to ask about the cost while you are there.
