Dr. Alan Baharlou congratulating Dr. Pheifer for 20 years of dedicated service to
 his profession, Department, and most of all - his students.  In attendance were
colleagues from Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, the Dean and Associate Dean of the
College of Sciences (Dr. Mary Anne Hanner and Dr. Godson Obia), many of his
current and former students as well as the entire Geology/Geography faculty.

Not only did Ray receive a "parting gift" of a GPS unit - so he could find
his back to the department after becoming emeritus professor,
but Les Stoner added the Viking hat - a fitting touch if
you've ever had Ray as an instructor.





Dr. Mike Havey, professor of Psychology, is sad to see one of his
favorite test subjects retire.
