The Grounds Department sells split firewood. The wood is a mix of types depending on what trees have been removed on campus. The price structure is per pickup bed loaded level with the bed sides excluding any side boards or extenders.
Cost:
Full bed pickup $ 40
Short bed or small pickup $ 30
Car trunk load $ 15
Note:
The Grounds Department will do all loading. Because of liability concerns we no longer allow individuals to load their own trucks. Be aware that all loading will be done with an end loader or skid steer (Bobcat).
Please make advance appointments for loading to ensure that the equipment is available for loading. Loading times – Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. except during University Holidays. For appointments call the Grounds Department at 581-6038.
Payments are to be made at the Facilities Planning and Management offices at University Drive and Hayes Ave. We accept Cash or Checks only - Checks are to be made out to Eastern Illinois University. Upon payment, you will receive a receipt that you must present to the person loading your vehicle.
The firewood stockpile is located on the gravel road south of the varsity baseball field.
