TEST ACCOMMODATIONS, NON-CLASSROOM TESTS: ILLINOIS TEACHER
CERTIFICATION TESTS, GRE, LSAT, MCAT, ETC
Students who receive test accommodations in the classroom may be entitled to receive the same accommodations when they take standardized tests for graduate school, license certification, etc.
Such accommodations often have to be requested and arranged well in advance of the test date. Making the request in a timely manner is your responsibility. Investigate this matter ahead of time by finding out all you can about the test you want to take: read the test booklet and/or application form, check out the dates on which the test is given, discover whether you will take the test on campus or elsewhere. You may wish to talk to your academic advisor or Eastern's Office of Academic Assessment and Testing (581-5986) about the test and testing process.
You will need a
letter from the Assistant Director of the Office of Disability Services to
obtain accommodations. Make an early appointment to meet with the Assistant
Director so that this letter can be prepared in a timely manner.
