What is Boys State?The Concept of Boys State originated in Illinois and Illinois Boys State is the oldest youth leadership training program in America. The National organization of the American Legion has adopted the plan and it is now in operation in all fifty states. Boys State provides the experience, opportunity and organization to teach young men citizenship and workings of the government. Friendships are developed, new interests are found, and ordinary people begin to do extraordinary things. |
