We are very proud of the honors and awards our members and the chapter have received. Many members are involved in National Honor Societies and Recognition Societies including: Order of Omega, Rho Lambda, Gamma Sigma Alpha, Phi Alpha Eta, Kappa Delta Pi, Mortar Board, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and also the University Honors Program. Many Beta Iota members have also been elected to campus positions such as Homecoming Steering Committee, Greek Week Steering Committee, Panhellenic Executive Council and Cabinet, and Panhellenic Gamma Chi. Members participate in EIU intrumurals and other campus organizations. Alpha Gamma Delta has made a commitment to academic excellence both for the individual and for each chapter. The Chapter has specific goals and guidelines to assure that academic achievement remains a priority. The Chapter continues to be ranked top in grades and stays above the All Women's Campus GPA. *The Chapter is very proud to have been awarded "The President's Five Star Award for Fraternal Excellence". This award is presented annually to Outstanding Fraternities and Sororites at Eastern Illinois University. The award is based on the areas of chapter programming: Chapter Operations, Membership Development, Public Relations, Recruitment and Retention, and Social Programming. *The Chapter is a top rated chapter with Alpha Gamma Delta International Fraternity. The chapter was awarded the Annulet Award at Convention 2008 in San Antonio, Texas. This is the most prestigious award that a chapter can receive. The chapter also continues to be a 5 Star chapter with the Fraternity. The stars are for the areas of Leadership, Membership, Philanthropy, Scholarship and Sisterhood. .
